Compektelt blown away by both our meal and excellent customer service. Once you walk through the door the array of smells just grabs you! We were seated at a nice spot with a big window view, and the food and drinks arrived so quickly.
The panang neua is amazing. The Thai fried rice was nostalgic and tasted homemade. The Thai iced tea was nice and sweet served with a big ball of ice. And the cocktails were flavorful as well.
Definitely need to come back for another round of enters we were drooling over at the tables around us. And need to return to try the dessert! -

I've actually been a fan of Farmhouse Kitchen since their opening in San Francisco; recreating near-authentic flavors using farm-to-table methods and ingredients -- this is quite possibly either the most or least New American meal I have ever tried. Either way it was delicious.
There are subtle hints of fusion contained within each dish due to the overarching "farm-to-table" concept being presented by the establishment which I actually found quite pleasant despite being a long-time opponent of fusion cuisine:
1. Som Tham
The waitress asked us if we were sure when we asked that this be served "Thai Spicy." We soon learned that she was asking this out of genuine concern as opposed to formality: our raw papaya salad was sweet, sour, zesty, slightly salty, crunchy, and above all, doused in fire. The pickled crab didn't quite have that same fermented flavor as it tends to do across the pond, but it added a further dimension of raw flavor to the salad itself. The crispy pork belly was probably unnecessary, but the salad complemented it well, as opposed to it complementing the salad.
2. Ahi Tuna Larb
The presentation of Farmhouse Kitchen's larb confused me until I realized what they were doing. The raw tuna, mixed with mint, wild vegetables, peppers and dry spices is served in a spherical form à la filet americaine, and comes with a side of large triangular tortilla chips, as if it's giving a silent nod to another "salad" which is oft served with raw/fish or seafood--ceviche. Farmhouse Kitchen through their interpretation of this dish is somewhat pointing out that larb (usually served with raw beef / lamb) is nothing the world has not seen before by subtly reminding the diner that filet americaine is essentially just a slab of raw beef, and people south of our border enjoy "raw fish salad" with quite some frequency.
3. Khao Kra Prow Kobe
The server likened this dish to "Thai bibimbap": it's spicy Holy Basil fried rice topped with slices of locally-sourced "wagyu" beef and a side of fried egg. The holy basil was undoubtedly the highlight of the dish; the "kobe" was just the cherry on top. -

Thai delight! Farmhouse gets it right! Insane dedication to preparation!
Beef ribs slow slow cooked over 48 hours on the stove top. It's a signature dish. So lots of peeps order it. So imagine the size of the stock spot. I'd love to slide into the kitchen and see how they cook it up. How is that even possible to lift all that beef, egg noodles and broth. Must take three Thai chef's or King Kong to hoist the big pot.
Wowie! This soup is so scrumptious. The bone-in beef just slides off the bone (indeed a really big bone) and melts in your mouth. The veal broth is rich and hearty. And then there's an endless supply of egg noodles twisting and turning on my fork - I'm chopsticks free. Some really good veggies, cilantro, green onion, pork rind garlic oil. Took soup to go home! My wife had yellow curry with potato, onion and crispy shallots, tofu and rice noodles. Tasted just as awesome!
It truly does have the ambience of a farm house. It's two stories with lots of rooms laid out country style. I felt down-on-the-farm mesmerizing 'bout eating my swiss grandmother's chicken and dumpling soup. Good soup! Love hearty soup! But hey - it's not Swiss - it's Thai-delis! Soup & slurp - put on a bib first. It's a splashy slurpy feast. Chow out! -

Was in town for work and found this spot to try with three of my coworkers and I. I was immediately impressed by the ambiance and decor. The host stand was an adorable Thai looking petty-cab. it caught our eye. We were hoping to sit on the patio which had beautiful floral arrangements hanging from the ceiling but we got sat inside as it was full.
It took awhile for our server to get to us but once she did we were off and running. We ordered drinks and apps right away. I got the Paradise Beach which was a very refreshing gin cocktail with an adorable mermaid laying on the lime.
Appetizers:
Neua Num Tok Rolls - 12/10 would order as many times as possible. I had tried a little bit of the Godmother's Sauce before we got these to the table so I had a little bit left over on my plate and it was JUST te right amount of spice to add to these little rolls. so good. Came with four so we could all have one.
Fish Cakes - 10/10 - LOVED The flavor and the sauce that came with these. Very flavorful and the spices were spot on.
Entrees: we opted to do family style and ordered one each of the following:
Chef's Special Crispy Duck that came with jasmine rice and a fried egg. My favorite dish. The duck was amazing - tender, flavorful and perfect amount of spices. The rice was amazing with the fried egg.
BBQ Kai Yang - the chicken was plentiful and flavorful. The sticky rice was great and the sauces to add were amazing.
Pad Thai with Crispy Pork Belly - good flavors but I could have gone for more spice. And the crispy pork belly was not quite as crispy as I was hoping. Good portion size though.
All in all, fun place to go and we had a great time here. Our server was genuine and kind.
One note: it did get extremely loud as we sat just inside by the host stand. Noise carries in here. -

We got seated right away on a Sunday afternoon. They have indoor and outdoor seating; we opted for outdoor seating since it was really nice outside. I've heard so many good things about this place as their original location is in SF and is very popular.
PAPAYA SALAD ($12.50) - I liked the nice spice and sauce in the papaya salad. The cabbage was nice to cool the spice. 4/5
PAD THAI WITH CHICKEN ($15.50) - My favorite of the three! We asked the waiter for limes which really helped to bring out all the flavors. It was a good solid pad thai. 4.5/5
YELLOW CURRY WITH CHICKEN ($15.50) - It doesn't come with rice on its own but the rice it does come with is blue! I didn't see that coming at all but it was good. The potato chunks were huge and the curry itself was good and sweet. 4/5
Beware that there is no spiciness by default on the pad thai and yellow curry! We didn't know and didn't realize that they didn't ask us for a spice level so we had to flag down the waiter to let him know we wanted to add spiciness to our dishes. We opted for medium spice levels but even then it was only slightly spicy.
I'm almost certain I've been to the location in SF but I don't remember at all. I'll have to try the one in SF when I go back home.
